Visit Daddy at Work Day

I helped Daddy at work for less than an hour but he kept Dora working all night and the next day. Poor Dora!

My first "real" haircut

It had to happen sooner or later! Mommy says it probably should have happened sooner but we're pretty busy doing other stuff. Anyway, I had my bangs cut a couple of times but we went to visit Kalynne (Mommy's hair lady and friend) and asked her if she'd tame my hair a little. Actually, it wasn't that wild but it was getting long in the back.

Kalynne gave me a magazine to read like all the ladies but she also taught me how to hold a roller under my chin so she could cut near the back of my neck. That was pretty neat! I like to tell people about it but no one is quite sure what I'm saying. I can say "cut" and mime holding a roller under my neck. But, well, I guess you just had to be there.

I hope you like my new 'do!

Grandma and Grandpa - Hooray!

I'm so lucky! My Grandma and Grandpa came all the way from Connecticut on an airplane to visit me. We had sooooo much fun. Mostly we read a lot of books, played outside (and inside), went for walks, went to the park and blew bubbles but we also had yummy dinners at home and at Uncle Todd's.

I also didn't want Grandma and Grandpa to miss out on the zoo so we went there too. Uncle Todd came with us. It was so cool to have everyone come and see my favorite animals. I was sorry that they missed the black bears but they saw the cougars, bobcats, the wolves and more! I also made some ladies I didn't know laugh because I was enjoying the waterfall near some of the Pacific Northwest fish. It kept splashing water on me. It was great!

We also all went to see the new tram. I wasn't really that impressed with the tram but I really liked checking out the patios at the top. I was running around and checking out all the cool sculptures. There was a big frog and a little frog and (my favorite) water fountains that looked like bird nests. I wish we had water fountains like that at home. Mom, Dad, you listening?

Here comes Peter Cottontail.....

Well, it may not be Persian New Year but we had some celebratin' for Easter too. Mommy and I went to the zoo (in the pouring rain) and I saw a HUGE bunny. I was very excited and maybe just a tiny bit scared. Some kids hugged the bunny but I just gave him five....a couple of times. He was dressed up like Peter Rabbit from my books. I really liked his coat. There were other big bunnies walking around but he was the best. I think I will keep talking about him for at least a month! Seriously.

I also played a game where Mommy told me to throw tiny balls into bunny's baskets but I just walked over and put them in (and took them out and put them in again). I was really good so I got a bookmark. See, Mommy, I knew how to play!

We also did a Easter egg hunt there at the zoo. I wasn't too excited to pick up candy off the ground but Mommy helped me find a plastic egg and a really cool, really tiny thing of bubble stuff. I love bubbles!

We had a quiet Easter morning with gifts from my grandparents. I visited with Grandma and Grandpa McCullough and they got to see how much I loved my Easter books! Later, we had sausages (YUMMMM) and homemade pretzels with Uncle Todd and the Walrods and Weavers. I also looked at my basket from the Easter bunny. It was full of all sorts of tiny animals! I love tiny animals!
